Raleigh families have the shortest commute of any town we serve — most reach SoFive on Hillsborough Street in 10-15 minutes from Five Points, Cameron Village, Boylan Heights, or the NC State campus area. Carolina Velocity Academy coaches U8, U9, and U10 boys and girls from across Raleigh's elementary catchments, with small-group academy training designed to complement whatever match calendar your child already keeps. Indoor turf at SoFive means we never cancel for Raleigh's summer heat advisories or January ice storms, and the central location lets families fit two weeknight sessions around school pickup without rebuilding their week.

North Raleigh families come down I-440 South to Exit 3. Brier Creek and Northwest Raleigh families use I-540 East to I-40 East, then I-440 East to Exit 3. Downtown and Oakwood families come west on Hillsborough Street through NC State.
The facility is on Hillsborough Street directly adjacent to the NC State campus, the JC Raulston Arboretum, and the NC State College of Veterinary Medicine. ITB neighborhoods like Hayes Barton, Five Points, and Oakwood are bike-or-short-drive distance, while North Raleigh and East Raleigh families should plan 20-30 minutes during weekday rush hour on I-440.
Players in our academy come from elementary schools across Raleigh. If your child's school isn't listed, you're still welcome — these are simply the schools currently represented on our roster or in the immediate area.
Raleigh has the deepest youth soccer market in the state — more weekend programs, more recreational tracks, and more competitive options than any other Triangle town. The City of Raleigh Parks & Recreation runs its own youth soccer leagues for ages 4-8 with practices in March and games April-May. On Saturdays you'll find U8-U10 youth games running across most of the city's larger park complexes.
Raleigh has more youth soccer options at U8-U10 than any other Triangle town, which is exactly why parents tell us they want help being selective. Velocity is built for one specific gap: weeknight, small-group, technical training on indoor turf, scheduled around whatever weekend program your child is already in. No travel commitment, no full-club season, just focused skill development you can fit around school nights.
Raleigh is the largest city in the Triangle and the second-largest in North Carolina, anchored by state government, NC State University, and a growing tech and life-sciences economy tied to Research Triangle Park. The city is demographically diverse and spans wealthy ITB neighborhoods (Hayes Barton, Five Points, Budleigh), dense apartment corridors (Glenwood South, downtown), suburban North Raleigh, and master-planned Brier Creek near RDU airport. Youth sports here run from highly competitive to broad municipal rec, and Raleigh parents tend to shop carefully across that spectrum based on coaching quality, schedule fit, and what their child actually needs at this age.
Carolina Velocity Youth Academy practices are held at SoFive Soccer Center Raleigh, conveniently located for Raleigh families.
